On the 16th of August the whole school went to the Rochester Farm Safety Expo. In Rochester we saw a police operation truck brought up from Melbourne, a Fonterra milk truck, Fire trucks, other vehicles from the Fire station and Police cars from the Police station. We learned about what to wear when pouring chemicals or building something. We learned about healthy eating and what drinks have the most sugar and others that are ok to drink. We learned about electrical safety. We were spoken to about bike safety and safety on the roads, like when to cross the road and how to safely ride our bike on the road. We all had a turn on the driving simulator, where we had to drive a truck and be careful. We had to stop for deer, go the speed limit and look out for other drivers. It was a great experience for us to learn about safety.
